Our Core Options

Advanced, evidence-informed therapies tailored to your specific condition and recovery goals.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

Your own concentrated platelets prepared with Arthrex systems for select tendon/ligament injuries and early joint degeneration.

LEARN MORE

Neural Therapy

Local-anesthetic injections to calm dysfunctional nerve fields and autonomic patterns perpetuating pain.

LEARN MORE

Trigger Point Injections (TPI)

Manual or needle-based treatment for myofascial "knots" in taut muscle bands; TPIs may use local anesthetic, saline, or be done "dry."

LEARN MORE

Prolotherapy

Dextrose-based injections to strengthen ligaments & tendon repair.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) with Arthrex

PRP uses a small sample of your blood, processed to concentrate platelets and growth factors, then injected into the target area to support local repair in eligible tendon/ligament and joint conditions.

Why Our PRP

+

We use Arthrex PRP processing systems (ACP® double-syringe, ACP Max™, or Angel®) to create consistent preparations; ACP can process ~15 mL whole blood in ~5 minutes, while ACP Max and Angel enable higher concentrations or customized formulations when indicated.

Candidates

+
  • Lateral elbow tendinopathy, patellar/Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciopathy
  • Mild-to-moderate joint degeneration (select cases)
  • Partial-thickness tendon/ligament irritation (case-by-case)

Visit Plan

+
Consult & Prep

Medication review; training/load plan set

PRP Session

45–60 min visit (collection, processing, injection)

Aftercare

Relative rest 48–72h, then phased loading

Series

Often 1–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart (individualized)

Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy delivers targeted injections—commonly dextrose-based—into irritated ligaments/tendons to stimulate a localized healing response, with the goal of reducing pain and improving function.

Candidates

+
  • Chronic ankle sprains, medial/lateral elbow pain
  • Sacroiliac or ligament-dominant low back discomfort
  • Persistent tendon pain that hasn't responded to rest or standard rehab

Consult & Mapping

Identify pain drivers and treatment targets

Treatment Series

Typically 3–6 sessions at 2–6 week intervals

Rehab Integration

Graded loading, tempo/eccentric work, home care

Neural Therapy

Neural Therapy uses small injections of a local anesthetic (often procaine or lidocaine) to areas of disturbed nerve signalling—such as scars or trigger points—to help normalize autonomic regulation and relieve pain.

Candidates

+
  • Long-standing pain with autonomic or scar components
  • Post-surgical pain, trauma sites, headache/neck-jaw patterns
  • Cases where imaging is minimal but symptoms persist

Visit Plan

Assessment

Mapping of interference fields

Initial Series

Typically 2–6 sessions (weekly to bi-weekly)

Integration

Can be paired with RMT / Sports Acupuncture

Trigger Point Injections (TPI)

TPIs treat myofascial trigger points—hyper-irritable knots within a taut band of muscle. A small needle targets the point using local anesthetic (e.g., lidocaine) or saline; in some cases, clinicians use dry needling (no injectate).

Who They Help

+
  • Neck/shoulder/upper-back pain (trapezius, levator, infraspinatus)
  • Elbow/forearm overuse, hip flexor/TFL, gluteal/hamstring bands
  • Persistent "ropey" muscle tension limiting range of motion

Why Choose Vanguard

+
Assessment-Led

Mapping of symptomatic and contributing muscle bands

Outcome-Focused

We keep only what measurably helps

Rehab Integration

Isometrics → eccentrics/tempos → task-specific loading

Visit Cadence

+
  • Acute flare (0–2 wks): 2×/week to modulate pain and restore gentle range
  • Subacute (2–6 wks): 1×/week with progressive loading
  • Performance "prehab": Every 2–4 weeks in heavy blocks to maintain tissue quality
